A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome to my web site! As you can see my name is Sandra Forbes. I am from Massachusetts originally but I currently live in Rhode Island and have for the past 20 years.
I have always been interested in art and drawing. I studied Commercial Art & Design; got certified, and later went on to study more advanced techniques of art and design and earned a degree in Visual Communications.
I have worked extensively in the graphic arts industry and I am always looking to learn more about this growing field. I currently do most of my work on computers with some minimal web design as I am still learning about such things. My true passion has always been for drawing in the form of pencil and paper or pen and ink. I enjoy illustration in many different mediums and I like to experiment with mixing mediums as well.
I was in the graphics field before computers were introduced and as a result, I learned manually to copy and paste and work with camera ready artwork as well as how to create it. I worked as a typesetter, a screen printer and a head artist for a screen printing company. After going back to school and upgrading my knowledge to include computers graphics I now work as a freelance graphic artist. I specialize in advertising design but am not limited to it.
I have a nice home in the North End of Providence where I live with my partner and our 2 dogs; Thor & Yukon. Thor is a Black Labrador/Rottweiler mix and Yukon is a pure Yellow Labrador... they are the sunshine in my day!
